For architects and interior designers looking to create spaces that embrace iconic surroundings, the InterContinental Sydney serves as an exceptional case study. This refurbishment project has redefined luxury accommodation and set a new standard for maximising harbour views. This iconic hotel, known for its prime location and breathtaking vistas of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, underwent a $120 million transformation that has redefined luxury accommodation in the city.
Interior design firm, Woods Bagot, created a space that focuses on the stunning harbour water views and adjacent Royal Botanic Gardens. They masterfully incorporated soothing blues from their colour palette, emphasising the surrounding waters and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow from the beautiful surroundings to public hotel areas.
Argent Australia was honoured to participate in this project—our carefully curated selection of products perfectly aligned with the hotel's vision of understated luxury. Villeroy & Boch's Architectura Overhead Shower and Under Counter Basin, and the O.Novo Basin Mixer, Wall Mounted Basin Mixer, and Shower Mixer offered clean lines and sophisticated designs effortlessly integrating with the hotel's overall aesthetic.
The bathrooms were reimagined with a modern touch, providing guests an indulgent retreat. The Villeroy & Boch bathroomware, designed for both style and functionality, elevates the bathing experience for guests, making it truly unforgettable. As a bonus, the hotel's partnership with Byredo adds an extra layer of luxury with its luxurious bathroom amenities, complementing the overall experience.
